An iconic dress emerges through a portal from the future to advertise its design and style. It spotlights on the idea of ‘ecotopia’ and that there will be an increase in minimal fashion and technology merged in the future. Aspects of the work addresses issues on fashion consumption and sea pollution but also a hope for better sustainability. I clone my self to create a sense of a runaway for the audience but also an implication of repetitive buying. Moreover, keeping the garment plain and minimal is to emphasise sustainability and the environment as there is a proliferation of textile prints and dyes used in the fashion industry. However, I apply a digital animation to the dress which acts as an alternative print or dye and mimic's the use of projections and holograms.
