Using a portal as a way to manifest the present and future times of Muslim women and their respective dress codes, specifically, the ban of hijabs and burqas in parts of Europe. I create a dystopian and utopian view through the use of text and images. Creating one star repeated within it, represents Islam, the oneness of God and the layers of different nations and faiths to construct this sense of hope, peace and unity. Inspired by artist Imran Perreta's use of text in his videos and film works ('15 days', 2018) and the confrontation of political issues such as Islamophobia. Also inspired by the constructivism movement, its colours and shapes as well as news headlines.

Arabic quranic text translation:

1) "Be respectful to women for as if they are mothers of mankind."

2) "And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women."

3) "Whether you are male or female, you are equal to one another"

4) short qoute "Bismillah" means "In the name of Allah".

5) word is Allah's name "Al- jami'u" means "The Gatherer"
